UPDATES, which now includes our REGISTRY

Assuming your USPS delivery person doesn't hate you, you should have received your Save the Date card during the last week of July.  This page contains any information we've added since then.

August 1: If you're bringing children or infants to the wedding, we have good news.  There will be a separate room across the hall from the reception area where you can take your little ones to get them away from the music/dancing/intoxicated adults.  The room will have tables and chairs, so feel free to bring books and games and whatever else you think you might need to keep the kids entertained.  The hotel has asked us to ask you to please supervise your children closely while they're in this room, as it contains some breakable fixtures that can't be removed.  So it's not a place where you can leave them unattended, but still, it should be a more sane environment than the reception area.

September 1: If you plan on staying at the Dupont Circle Hotel, please book your room soon.  ASAP.  Now-ish.  The hotel anticipates being completely full during the weekend of our wedding, and would like to get all our guests taken care of this month.  If you need help looking for alternate accommodations, just ask Larry or Margo.

September 23: Took us a little while, but we now have a registry.  It can be accessed here.

If you don't want to purchase anything from the registry, we encourage you to make a donation to Bread for the City, a multi-service organization helping the poor and homeless in Washington DC.

October 13: If you'll be in town by Friday night (the 28th), we encourage you to join us for an evening of drinks and celebration at Baby Wale, 1124 9th St. NW.  All are welcome!  It's a big bar.

Also, while the wedding ceremony will start at 3:30 on Saturday, the church doors will open at 3:00.

Also, if you're going to tag pictures on social media, apparently our "wedding hashtag" is #deybaileyknoweachother.  It's a play on words.  I guess.

October 27: If you are taking the (free!) shuttle bus from the hotel to the church on Saturday afternoon, please know that it will leave at 3:00 sharp. Meet in the lobby (or outside it--wherever you see a bunch of people wearing nice clothes) a little before 3:00 so you can be sure you'll make it. If you miss it, it's just a 10 minute/$8 cab ride, but free is free.  And of course everyone can get a ride back to the hotel on the bus after the ceremony, even if they didn't take the bus from the hotel to the church.
