Accommodations

The Dupont Circle Hotel.  It's a nice place, we promise.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Dupont Circle Hotel, where the reception will take place.  It's a great hotel in a great neighborhood.  Unfortunately, hotels in DC (especially this part of DC) tend to be very expensive.  Even with the group rate, rooms will be $219/night, plus tax.  You can book a room at this rate by calling the reservations department at 202-483-6000 and referencing the Dey/Bailey wedding.  You must book by October 7th to take advantage of the rate.

Interestingly, as of right now (June 23rd), the rate at the hotel offered on Kayak.com is actually cheaper for this particular weekend.  You can get the same kind of room for only $205/night.  This will certainly change at some point, but for the time being, it probably makes more sense to just book there.

We understand that people may want to look for alternate accommodations for a number of reasons.  No problem.  We didn't reserve a block of rooms at any other hotel because we weren't sure of the number of people who would want to look for something a little different (a suite setup for those traveling with children; a cheaper option for those who don't feel the need to stay right where the reception is, etc.).

The good news is that DC has a lot of hotels.  Like, a ton.  Almost certainly more than it needs for all but a few select times of the year, and late October is not one of those times.  If you are not familiar with the city and are looking for a different option, please reach out to us (by which I mean Margo and Larry--we are the ones making this website, we didn't hire someone or anything like that) and we would be happy to help you out.  Just let us know.
